It’s the inaugural post of the Lost Office Collaborative. We're thrilled to embark on this journey with you, sharing our vision, our ambition, and the story of how we came to be.
The State of Work. In the current landscape, worker productivity is declining at the fastest rate in 75 years.
The future of work requires high-performing teams that can quickly adapt to a more dynamic working world. We're transitioning to a hybrid workplace, demanding a more tangible connection between organizational purpose and team mission. There are higher expectations for physical and emotional well-being, and a need for collaborative fluency in rapidly evolving technologies.
Yet, teams are struggling. They're facing interruptions, distractions, and time constraints. Many have under-developed collaboration skills, lack the soft skills to lead or work in a hybrid environment, and are experiencing slipping chemistry and alignment.
The Gap in the Market
Despite these challenges, there are currently no turnkey solutions for inspiring, deep work team experiences. Places like WeWork focus on space for individuals, while others like NeueHouse aim to create a social club. No one is focused on building a space where teams can come together, find their flow, and strengthen their chemistry.
That's where Lost Office Collaborative steps in.
Our Vision
Lost Office Collaborative was born out of a need to revolutionize how we work. We're not just about creating new spaces with nicer furnishings, more snacks, and better remote conferencing tech (though we have that too). We're about arming people with the mindset, behaviors, and tools needed to work better together.
We're here to help teams escape distractions, rekindle connections, and work productively in an inspiring, safe space. We're inspired by wellness and productivity research and neuroscience, and we use technology, design, nutrition, and programming to create a space where teams can flourish.
Our Ambition
We aim to be an environment programmed for teams to collaborate and work with a high degree of focus and productivity when they need it most. We're the missing piece of an enterprise’s real estate portfolio that centralizes cost, time, and logistics for team off-sites.
We offer a premium long- and short-term hybrid/virtual team solution that's a distraction-free alternative to the traditional office. We provide thoughtful, tailor-made experiences that break monotony, build stronger bonds, and re-energize engagement.
Our Journey
Our journey began with our founders, who brought their diverse experiences in brand strategy, experience strategy, and business consulting to the table. They were joined by Lindsey, our Director of Experience, whose background spans publishing, design, education, and consulting.
Together, they envisioned a place infused with inspiration, energy, and little surprises that support your focus. A place with a heartbeat, where everything from the technology to the environment, and the people who support and coach, is designed to keep your team in a state of flow.
